Kiriaki (Kiki) Pertesis, owner, LMT & EST
Since Kiki can remember, she was drawn to the healing arts. Throughout her childhood and into her adolescence, she enjoyed pampering loved ones and trying to heal their ailments through massage and touch. After 2 years at Dutchess Community College and still not finding a suitable major, she pursued a career in Massage Therapy at the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy in Highland. As soon as she started to learn the art of Massage, she knew she would one day own her own spa. Upon completing her massage therapy licensure, she returned to school to receive a license in Esthetics in 2004. Both careers gave her the ability to serve others in healing through skin care and body care. After gaining experience in the spa industry by working in very successful day spas and medi-spas as well as traveling abroad to gain insight into self-healing techniques and other healing arts, Kiki was ready to open The Little Owl Spa. Her massages combines eastern massage techniques (acupressure, compression, rolling & stretching) with western massage techniques ( effluerage, friction, petrissage and tapping). Kiki’s intuitive touch and loving nature enables clients to feel comfortable, pampered and fully relaxed; improving their overall well being and feeling of health. She has received extra training in eastern massage therapy techniques, sciatica, neck and shoulder injuries, lower back pain and certification in prenatal massage and doula. All massages include aromatherapy, stretching, breathing exercises, heat and compression therapy. She is available Tuesday - Saturday by appointment only.
